Job DescriptionThis individual is responsible for supporting the month-end closing process. Functions include, but are not limited to, journal entries, account reconciliations, accounting activities and supporting the Accounting Manager throughout the month. Please see below for a full list of essential functions and qualifications.
Essential Functions
- Prepare supporting documentation reports for the month end.
- Record monthly journal entries to the General Ledger.
- Prepare month-end balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Assist in cash forecasting.
- Corporate reporting
- Accounting for holdings company
- Backup and support payroll / travel administrator.
- Provide back-up to other accounting functions as needed.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
- Active CPA with Big 4 Accounting experience
- Excellent people skills and ability to motivate others to maximize their potential.
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite (Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
- Excellent skills with Excel.
- Team player; strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills.
- Detailed orientated and strong multitasking skills.
- Must be able to work with diverse groups and all levels of management.
- Willing to work overtime as required must be willing to put in additional effort when required to meet deadlines.
